Job Description:
About Midnight

Midnight is a cutting-edge, privacy-focused blockchain network designed to empower developers with zero-knowledge (ZK) technology. Our mission is to create an ecosystem that enables developers to build secure, scalable, and privacy-preserving applications with ease. Currently, in testnet, we’re laying the foundation for a vibrant, values-driven developer ecosystem.

Role Overview

As our Developer Educator, you'll empower developers—both new and seasoned—to build confidently on Midnight. You'll create and deliver high-quality technical content, including academy modules, blog posts, tutorials, and videos, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and relevance.

Drawing on both technical writing and instructional design, you'll partner with DevRel, Engineering, and Product teams to transform complex topics into engaging and effective learning experiences across formats.

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum & Module Creation: Craft detailed learning modules for Midnight Academy, covering core concepts, use cases, and hands-on code examples
  • Own Onboarding: Build and refine onboarding journeys that guide devs from faucet to first deploy
  • Author Tutorials & Blog Posts: Produce written guides, blog posts, and deep dives that demonstrate how to build on Midnight
  • Video Content Production: Write scripts and collaborate with presenters to create video tutorials and brief walkthroughs
  • Collaborate & Edit: Work closely with DevRel team and copywriters to refine technical content
  • Publishing Workflow: Manage content handoff into docs, ensuring formatting and SEO standards are met
  • Educational Design: Incorporate instructional design principles (scaffolding, assessments, storytelling) into all content
  • Analytics & Feedback: Track learner engagement, course metrics, and feedback to iteratively improve content
  • Community Spotlighting: Highlight community-built content, feature guest posts, and amplify the voices of developers

Requirements

  • Background in Web3, blockchain, zero-knowledge tech, and open source ecosystems
  • 3+ years in technical writing, developer education, curriculum design, or a DevRel-related content role
  • Proven ability to explain complex technical topics clearly (written and spoken)
  • Experience with tutorials, blogs, video guides, or training modules
  • Comfort with Markdown, GitHub, educational tools (LMS, analytics)
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and time zones
  • Experience making technical content accessible not just to humans, but to AI agents (writing agent-friendly documentation, prompt-aware tutorials)
  • Bonus: familiarity with video tools (OBS, Camtasia) or educational frameworks (SCORM, microlearning)
  • New starter package to buy hardware essentials (headphones, monitor, etc)
  • Competitive PTO
