Cambridgeshire Constabulary faces increasing demand due to emerging crimes such as human trafficking, child sexual exploitation, and cyber-enabled fraud. We are seeking motivated officers to join our team, with a focus on complex investigations and community engagement.

Our policing model is divided into North and South hubs, based around Peterborough and Cambridge respectively, to efficiently allocate resources based on demand. The Protecting Vulnerable People Command includes specialized teams managing serious and complex investigations, working closely with multi-agency partners to safeguard vulnerable individuals.

We emphasize community engagement, especially with young people and marginalized groups, to build trust and confidence. We value diversity and encourage applications from female officers, BME backgrounds, or those who speak additional languages.

We are recruiting existing Detective Constables, trainee Detective Constables, or Police Constables from Home Office forces interested in joining our Detective pathway. Sergeant or higher rank officers are not eligible.

Upcoming transferee intakes are scheduled for 22nd September 2025 and 22nd February 2026. To express interest, register at this link.

To apply, complete the online application and the attached skills audit form, then send both to recruitment@bch.police.uk. For questions, contact Transferees@cambs.police.uk and include the vacancy title in your email.
