Position: Despatch Supervisor

Contract Type: Permanent / full-time (40 hours per week)

Location: Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry

Shift: Monday - Friday 21.30 start

Salary: £31,283.30 per annum

About the role

With a strong focus on providing high standards of service to both external and internal customers, responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Delivery of essential communications regarding team performance and review via PD board sessions and one-to-one discussions.
• Compliance with new employee inductions and training.
• Compliance with company SOMs and risk assessments.
• Working closely with the Compliance team to deliver the required standard of driver compliance.
• The review, development and delivery of Despatcher training.
• Assignment of general daily duties to the Despatch team to ensure an on-time network to the customer.

The ideal candidate will have

• Transport Manager CPC qualification is preferred.
• Experience and knowledge of Control Room procedures including drivers’ hours legislation is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
