Job summary

Hovis is seeking a reliable Despatch Operative for our Nottingham site. You will ensure products move safely and efficiently from the bakery to customers, maintaining high standards of service, quality and safety.

The role requires teamwork, flexibility, and the ability to work in hot and cold environments. Forklift experience is preferred, and Food Hygiene is advantageous. Join a values‑led business with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Desirable warehouse or despatch experience.
• Food Hygiene Certificate desirable.
• SHE Level 1 knowledge desirable.

Responsibilities

• Pick and organise products to meet customer demand.
• Operate MHE, including Forklift Truck.
• Use internal systems (Track & Trace, Put To Light) to manage shipments and stock.
• Load/unload vehicles and oversee bay and trailer checks.
• Maintain hygiene, housekeeping and safety standards.
• Support audits and stock counts; cross‑department collaboration.
