Job description

Riverway Foods, now part of CPC Group, produces quality sausages with all pork sourced from British high welfare farms supplying leading retailers including Aldi and Tesco. We are currently looking for a Despatch Operative to join our busy team in Harlow.

Location: Harlow

Working Hours: 06:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday

Pay Rate: £13.36 per hour

You will be responsible for the picking, storing, and dispatch of finished products, ensuring they are stored and picked efficiently according to customer order requirements. This role involves working within a chilled environment.

Duties Include:

• Assembling and checking orders for dispatch to customers promptly
• Ensuring products are picked and packed following Standard Operating Procedures
• Receiving and storing stock generated by other departments
• Recording data related to vehicle temperatures and hygiene standards
• Maintaining stock rotation based on use-by dates
• Segregating stock appropriately, especially for products containing allergens
• Reporting equipment damage or safety hazards to management
• Adhering to health and safety regulations
• Being flexible to meet changing business needs
• Complying with company policies and SOPs

Skills Required:

• Valid forklift license (Counterbalance) preferred
• Full UK driving license
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills
