Job summary

Arla Foods Stourton Dairy is seeking proficient Despatch Operatives to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, starting immediately. You will play an integral part in distributing our dairy products in a cold store environment using state-of-the-art systems like EWM voice picking.

The role covers order picking, daily targets, loading/unloading vehicles, inventory, housekeeping, and quality checks. We offer a competitive salary, on-site gym, parking, canteen and a pension match up to 6%

Qualifications

• Prior experience in warehousing or cold store is desirable but full training provided.
• Strong communicator, able to prioritise tasks and work to health and safety rules.
• Motivated team player with ability to work on own initiative and participate in department meetings.

Responsibilities

• Handle cold store functions including order picking, inventory, loading and unloading vehicles and housekeeping.
• Operate End of Line Palletisers and schedule workload to maintain efficient pallet supply.
• Conduct quality inspections on materials and finished products before dispatch and perform scheduled cleaning tasks.

Arla Foods Stourton Dairy are looking for proficient Despatch Operatives to join our team on a full time and permanent basis to start immediately where you will play an integral part in the distribution of our fantastic dairy products.

As a Despatch Operative at our Stourton site you will be responsible for completing all cold store functions including order picking, physical inventory, loading and unloading vehicles, house-keeping duties and EWM & voice picking where you will be working a full time, 4 on, 4 off shift pattern

The successful candidate will be responsible for

The successful candidate will be working with state of the art technology, such as our EWM voice picking, where you will ensure full completion of daily targets whilst maintaining strict food hygiene and Health & Safety standards within the department.

You will be operating End of Line Palletisers and schedule workload to ensure efficient pallet supply across the Dairy and to our customers.

With this in mind, it is important to perform quality inspections on materials and finished product before sending to customer whilst also performing specified cleaning tasks as per our daily/monthly schedules.

What you’ll need to be successful in the role

• Previous experience of working in a warehousing or cold store environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
• A motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative and knows about supply chain processes and sticking to health and safety rules
• You must be a strong communicator, who is able to prioritise tasks in a timely and organised manner and contribute to regular department meetings.
• You’ll be a strong performer with a good attendance record and a willingness to learn further skills
