Job summary

TRC Yorkshire in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Despatch Operative to join a leading manufacturer in Stourport-on-Severn. In a busy warehouse you will coordinate material receipt, storage and dispatch to support production orders and customer demand.

Hours are Mon-Thu 7am-4pm and Fri 7am-1pm. Rate £13 per hour in a temp-to-perm role. You will ensure on-time deliveries, stock accuracy, use a counterbalance forklift, and keep records in the warehouse system.

Qualifications

• You are reliable and able to communicate clearly with other teams.
• Experience working in a factory or warehouse environment is preferred.
• Team player who can work across departments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets operational timescales and requirements.
• Control WIP and picking for operations to ensure accuracy with minimal handling and stock damage.
• Booking stock in and out.
• Carry out stock takes and keep accurate records.
• Receiving stock and ensuring materials are stored correctly.
• Using a counterbalance forklift when required.
• Moving materials to production teams when they're needed.
• Maintaining stock accuracy within the warehouse management system.
• Ensure internal delivery processes are adhered to support dispatch time windows.
• Monitor stock levels to highlight minimum and excess levels and prevent part shortages.
• Deliver the product to the operations on time, every time.
