Job Title: Despatch Manager

The purpose of this role is to manage the entire operations of all finished products, from storage to the timely delivery of correct products to customers. Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the Despatch department to meet operational and customer demands, while achieving targets for productivity, accuracy, and stock control.
2. Drive compliance with the company's standards on Food Safety and Health & Safety. Investigate issues related to breaches and ensure resolution.
3. Lead a team of Supervisors by managing their contributions, coaching, developing, and setting performance targets through both collective and individual meetings.
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and records for traceability.
5. Address department-related issues arising from internal and external customer complaints.
6. Maintain audit-ready standards and set an example for the team.
7. Promote excellent housekeeping standards in the chill and general surroundings at all times.
8. Oversee training of new and existing personnel on departmental procedures, including conducting specific training and performance reviews during probation.
9. Foster a harmonious working environment through regular meetings, grievance handling, and managing non-performers via counseling and disciplinary procedures.
10. Ensure 100% stock accuracy by recording all movements and conducting daily stock takes.
11. Ensure all vehicles, machinery, and equipment are well maintained and fit for purpose.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous experience working in Despatch within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Experience working in a 'lean' working environment.
