Overview

Despatch Coordinator – Bolton – £23k – Permanent role.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Despatch Coordinator to oversee and manage our despatch operations within a busy SME manufacturing environment. This is a key role requiring attention to detail, ownership of processes, and the ability to support continuous improvement across the business.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all UK despatches to ensure on-time and accurate delivery.
• Manage relationships with couriers and freight forwarders.
• Prepare and manage all export documentation, with a strong understanding of Incoterms and compliance requirements.
• Take full ownership of despatch processes and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with shipping and export standards.
• Support other areas of the business, including packing and general operations, as required.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in despatch, logistics, or supply chain coordination, ideally within a manufacturing or SME environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK exports and Incoterms.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proactive approach with the ability to take initiative and deliver improvements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Flexible and willing to provide support in different areas of the business.
