We are looking for a Despatch Admin Assistant to join our Hillarys team at our Glaisdale manufacturingsite in Nottingham. If you’re someone who understands the distribution process, is used to meeting deadlines, and always looking to continuously improve, this role could be perfect for you.

Hillarys are part of the Hunter Douglas UK group, so as a Despatch Admin Assistant, you will be assisting with the administration process over multiple business channels to ensure goals are being met. You’ll use data to improve our processes and have a “new, better, different” mind-set, looking for trends and areas of improvement that will be integral to the wider business. You’ll work collaboratively with the Despatch team support, Operations Managers and other areas of the business to ensure everything is delivered efficiently and timely.

You’ll need to thrive in challenging situations and have a systematic approach to problem solving. We pride ourselves on providing high quality service throughout our duties, so ensuring you can achieve daily time-bound results in a friendly manner, whilst maintaining quality and standards, is essential.

Despatch Admin Assistant key responsibilities:

  • Ensure all Despatch team administrative duties are completed correctly and efficiently.
  • To follow strict guidelines and procedures with regards to daily billing of orders being distributed.
  • Answering phone and email queries in a timely, polite and accurate manner.
  • Have good focus and attention to detail in all tasks set.
  • Ensure health and safety policies and procedures are being adhered too.
  • Identify and respond to issues quickly and efficiently.

The successful and ideal Despatch Admin Assistant will…

  • Have a grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Have experience working in a similar environment.
  • Be able to effectively communicate at all levels.
  • Have experience and knowledge in Microsoft Office & SAP.
  • Have experience of problem solving within tight timelines.
  • Be confident in working independently and within a team.
