An opportunity has arisen for a Desktop Technician to join the Digital Services Team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Working as part of the Service Support Team, you will resolve incidents recorded by the Service Desk. The role is based at the Manufacturing and Innovation Hub in Seaton Delaval, providing on-site support for IT hardware and systems, as well as support for other Trust sites including North Tyneside General Hospital, Hexham General Hospital, and the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital in Cramlington.

The Desktop Technician will install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal performance. You will troubleshoot issues in person, by phone, or email, and provide end-user assistance as needed.

Essential skills include support for Windows OS, desktop hardware, and Microsoft Office suites, along with excellent customer service and communication skills. You should have recent experience supporting PCs, software, and desktop equipment in a corporate environment, providing customer-focused support, problem solving, and incident resolution within SLA targets.
