About

Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading Construction company based in Surrey who are currently looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.


Responsibilities

  1. Provide deskside and remote technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues in a timely manner.
  2. Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with company standards.
  3. Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory, including setting up new users, resetting passwords, and troubleshooting access issues.
  4. Assist with the deployment and management of Office 365 applications and services, ensuring seamless integration across devices.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows operating systems, including patching, updates, and performance optimisation.
  6. Support and maintain endpoint management tools such as Intune, ensuring devices comply with security policies.
  7. Conduct regular hardware audits and coordinate with procurement for replacements or upgrades.
  8. Provide proactive and reactive technical assistance to on-site staff, including troubleshooting hardware issues, software errors, and connectivity challenges.
  9. Document incidents, resolutions, and best practices in the company’s knowledge base for future reference.
  10. Offer basic training and guidance to end-users on IT policies, systems, and tools to improve efficiency and reduce recurring issues.
