Quant Capital is urgently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join our high-profile client.

Our client is a $500 million systematic quant commodity trading fund with excellent recent performance.

The role involves supporting desktop and cloud environments in a trading setting, reporting directly to the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Development. Strong communication skills are essential as the role involves collaboration with the trading business.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the primary technical resource for the Microsoft 365 environment.
2. Manage Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD) for user and device management.
3. Provide comprehensive IT support to approximately 20 staff members.
4. Identify and implement automation opportunities using PowerShell or other tools.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Windows desktops, servers, and virtualized environments.
6. Liaise with external IT service partners and vendors.

Ensure best practices are enforced across the infrastructure, reengineering processes as necessary.

Infrastructure Engineers MUST have:

1. At least 7 years of experience in IT support or infrastructure, preferably in professional services or finance.
2. Deep hands-on experience managing Microsoft 365 services.
3. Extensive understanding of Active Directory and Entra ID (Azure AD).
4. Strong scripting skills in PowerShell for system administration and Microsoft 365 automation.
5. Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot Windows desktops and endpoints.
6. Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
7. A proactive approach with analytical skills and automation drive.
8. Experience in incident management and handling technical incidents.
