Quant Capital in London is seeking a Desktop Systems Automation Engineer to join a fast-paced, engineering-led tech function. This hybrid role spans desktop, server, and network infrastructure across Windows, Linux, and macOS, delivering critical end-user support and building automation scripts.

You’ll contribute to real-time problem solving, infrastructure maintenance, and automation projects within a global operations team.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills and a natural service mindset.
• 3-8 years experience in IT infrastructure and end-user support.
• Solid understanding of IT infrastructure across networking, system administration, and endpoint management.
• Hands-on experience with Windows OS (client/server), Active Directory, and enterprise IT environments.
• Strong PowerShell skills, with ability to script from scratch.
• Comfortable working across platforms; Linux/macOS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to support tickets and resolve hardware, software, and infrastructure issues across a diverse user base.
• Build and configure laptops, desktops, and servers across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
• Support domain infrastructure including Active Directory, Group Policy, and access control.
• Monitor critical systems, identify risks or outages, and contribute to resolution planning.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell or Bash) to streamline tasks.
• Collaborate with technical teams on infrastructure improvement initiatives.
• Document processes, solutions, and troubleshooting procedures for internal knowledge base.
• Participate in occasional evening or weekend maintenance and support tasks.
