Job description

We are recruiting a highly motivated Desktop 2nd Line Support Technician to join a dynamic team, providing high-quality 1st and 2nd line IT support. Based in Driffield, this full-time role offers an excellent opportunity for an IT professional to contribute to the organisation’s IT infrastructure while working in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT support across the organisation, ensuring a high level of customer service in line with ITIL principles.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
  • Build, configure, and deploy laptops, mobile phones, and tablets, ensuring smooth device lifecycle management.
  • Perform system administration tasks, including user management in Active Directory and Exchange.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT issues, resolutions, and asset management.
  • Support mobile device and application management across Microsoft, Apple, and Android platforms.
  • Identify and escalate security risks where necessary.
  • Work on strategic IT projects and contribute to continuous service improvement.
Key Requirements:
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a customer-facing IT support role.
  • Strong imaging and build skills for laptops and mobile devices.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a methodical and logical approach.
  • Proficiency in Windows OS, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Exchange.
  • Working knowledge of wireless technologies and IT asset management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with users at all levels.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
  • Full driving licence and access to own transport.
