Job summary

Oxford Knight is seeking a desk-aligned engineer for the Commodities desk in London. You will collaborate with trading, research and data teams to develop core analytics, tackle business challenges, and deliver quantitative solutions.

This role involves handling large datasets and building data analytics trading tools, integrating data into models and investment processes. The ideal candidate has strong Python skills, experience with multi-site systems, solid Unix knowledge, and a strong

Qualifications

• Excellent technology skills. Fluent in Python or comparable language.
• Experience with complex, multi-site, systems architectures.
• Strong Unix operating system knowledge and exposure to various database technologies.
• Exposure to commodity markets is advantageous.
• Outstanding academic record: BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science/Physics or equivalent.

You’ll be expected to be a self-starter who demonstrates a strong sense of ownership, execution and the ability to work in a hands-on collaborative environment.

Requirements:

• Excellent technology skills. Fluent in Python or comparable language. Experience using multiple programming languages is desirable.
• Experience with complex, multi-site, systems architectures
• Strong Unix operating system knowledge and exposure to a variety of database technologies
• Exposure to commodity markets would be advantageous
• Outstanding academic record: BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science/Physics; or equivalent experience
