The Company

My client is a leading specialist in facade engineering, design, and installation, with a strong focus on sustainability and technical innovation.

Typical projects include: residential towers, commercial office buildings, and public sector developments (education, healthcare, government buildings).

HQ based in SE London with projects in London and the home counties.

The Role - Designer or Senior Designer - Cladding

My client is looking for an experienced Designer or Senior Designer to join their team in SE London.

This is a full-time office position, with occasional site visits (minimum once per week). Projects are within the M25 belt.

Duties include:

1. Detailed construction drawings (cladding)
2. Elevation and plan drawings (based on non-vectorised drawings)
3. Panel & sub-grid setting out drawings
4. Material take-off
5. Liaising with the Commercial department for material orders vs. specifications
6. Conducting site surveys and taking photographs
7. Attending design and progress meetings
8. Requesting specifications and confirming details from suppliers
9. Collaborating with structural engineers, consultants, and architects
10. Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is required
