The Apparel Designer will provide creative & tactical design expertise for the apparel category with a focus on In-Line, Market SMU & Athlete propositions. Will contribute to consumer & athlete first Design, Storytelling & Creation solutions to enable delivery of an elite football apparel proposition.
- Translate football-specific consumer & athlete needs, preferences & ambitions into a world-class product proposition that is viable & credible in the highest forms of the game.
- Place the consumer experience at the center of category/concept storytelling, emphasizing credible narratives that drive engagement.
- Source inspiration & influences to deliver curated creative applications.
- Develop compelling product presentations to inspire adoption.
- Use a consumer-centric approach to translate insights across concept, design & engineering to inform creative decisions.
- Leverage Brand DNA, Seasonal influence, & category positioning to craft consumer-focused propositions.
- Generate creative graphic ideation & deliver impactful narratives.
- Translate insights into seasonal design stories & graphics for apparel, equipment & accessories.
- Create high-quality 3D garments using CLO 3D based on sketches & fabric properties.
- Build presentations & animations for internal/external partners.
- Develop & refine digital patterns for accurate fit & construction.
- Optimize 3D workflows & contribute to digital asset libraries.
- Stay updated on industry innovations in 3D fashion.
- Create technical CAD drawings & schematics for development & vendor realization.
- Ensure seasonal product adjustments are accurate & timely.
- Partner with Development to ensure focus on seasonal objectives.
- Develop global vendor partnerships to align on creative & consumer objectives.
- Support creation & publication of collateral at each global gate/touchpoint.
- Use design software to illustrate & communicate product features & technologies.
- Create & publish creative tools for vendor & internal teams & external athletes & customers.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
- High proficiency in Adobe software suite.
- Experience with 3D modelling & rendering tools (CLO3D) or similar software.
- Strong passion for football & apparel industry.
- Proven industry track record.
- Strong graphic design background & sketching skills.
- Project management skills & ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Effective presentation & communication skills.
- Attention to detail & problem-solving attitude.
- Willingness to travel domestically & internationally.
