Job Mission:

The Apparel Designer I will provide creative and tactical design expertise for the apparel category, focusing on In-Line, Market SMU, and Athlete propositions. The role involves contributing to consumer and athlete-first design, storytelling, and creation solutions to deliver an elite football apparel proposition.

Major Accountabilities:
Creative Vision
  • Translate football-specific consumer and athlete needs, preferences, and ambitions into a world-class product proposition that is viable and credible in the highest forms of the game.
  • Center the consumer experience in category and concept storytelling, emphasizing credible narratives that drive engagement.
  • Source a wide range of inspiration and influences to deliver strong, curated creative applications.
  • Develop compelling product presentations to articulate and inspire adoption.
  • Ensure a consumer-centric approach by translating insights across concept, design, and engineering to inform creative decisions.
  • Leverage and interpret Brand DNA, seasonal influences, and category positioning to drive relevant propositions.
Design Creation
  • Generate creative graphic ideas and deliver impactful, insight-driven narratives.
  • Translate insights into relevant seasonal design stories and graphic executions for apparel, equipment, and accessories.
  • Build high-quality, true-to-life 3D garments using CLO 3D based on sketches, tech packs, and fabric properties.
  • Create 3D presentations and animations for internal and external partners.
  • Develop and refine digital patterns ensuring accurate fit and construction.
  • Optimize 3D workflows and contribute to digital asset libraries.
  • Stay updated on industry innovations in 3D fashion.
Product Creation
  • Create technical CAD drawings and schematics to enable development and vendor realization.
  • Ensure seasonal product adjustments are accurate and timely.
  • Collaborate with development teams throughout seasonal stages to meet objectives.
  • Develop global vendor partnerships to align creative outlooks with category goals.
Content Creation
  • Support the creation and publication of collateral at each global touchpoint.
  • Use design software to illustrate and communicate product appearance and technologies.
  • Craft and publish creative tools to enhance vendor, internal, athlete, and customer engagement.
Requirements for Success:
  • Proficiency in Adobe software suite.
  • Experience with 3D modeling and rendering tools (Clo3D or similar).
  • Strong passion for football and apparel industry.
  • Proven industry experience.
  • Strong graphic design skills and hand/digital sketching capabilities.
