Designer:



Salary: £30,000


Location: Ashford


Monday - Friday: 8am - 4pm



We are proud to be exclusively partnering with an ambitious and growing company in the surrounding areas of Ashford, in their search for a Designer.


Our successful, growing client have a rare opening in one of their Design divisions to work on several contracts that they've recently won. They're eager to add a driven and focused Designer to their team, who will quickly be able to demonstrate their experience of working on large projects under pressure.


You will need to be able to show a portfolio that demonstrates your creative capabilities - ideally in interior design or set design - as well as your ability to design from drawings and measurements that have been provided to you.


It's an ideal opportunity for a creative-minded person who is looking to utilise their skills and enjoy a change in career; the successful candidate will not be fazed by working to tight deadlines and will be able to adapt quickly to a working environment, as they will be involved with high-end design projects and working as part of a small, friendly team.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Utilise design software to create appealing designs

  • Keep updated with the latest trends.

  • Working to a strict budget and deadline (e.g. Considering material costs, styles, availability, etc.)

  • Work closely with Developers and the Sales Team to ensure design stays on track and in budget.

  • Provide any ongoing design support during the installation process.



The Successful Candidate Will Have:



  • Previous experience within design.

  • Experience using design software.

  • Ability to remain focused while working on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Be able to work creatively to tight deadlines.

  • Have a portfolio of recent creative designs that they're able to talk through.
