Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a Designated Safeguarding Lead for a new Bowersgate School in Wythenshawe. You will lead safeguarding, liaise with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents and staff to safeguard wellbeing and child protection.

You will join the leadership team, report to the Head Teacher, and work with WG colleagues across locations to develop, support and protect pupils aged 6–16 with complex needs, autism and SEMH.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Comprehensive CPD portfolio related to safeguarding and child protection.
• Outstanding interpersonal and problem resolution skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding within the school, liaising with agencies, parents and staff on wellbeing and protection matters.
• Work as part of the leadership team and report to the Head Teacher, collaborating with WG teams across locations.
