Job summary

Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated Designated Safeguarding Lead to oversee safeguarding and child protection across the trust’s academies. Reporting to the Principal, you’ll collaborate with family support teams and external agencies to ensure robust safeguarding arrangements.

The role requires Module One Safeguarding Training (or equivalent), ECAF, and proven experience in safeguarding. Excellent CPD and supportive culture are highlighted in the package.

Qualifications

• Module One Safeguarding Training or equivalent is required.
• ECAF trained, Lead Professional and Outcomes Star training are expected.
• Minimum of two years’ safeguarding and child protection experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead on safeguarding systems and statutory safeguarding responsibilities.
• Provide safeguarding guidance to staff to promote student welfare.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on safeguarding effectiveness.
