Designate Senior Sous Chef | Birmingham West | Full Time

The Role:

As a Senior Sous Chef, you will be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support continuous coaching and development of your team to achieve their best, while driving restaurant performance and delivering excellent results.

What You Need To Be Successful:

  • Focus on creating a positive environment where your team feels cared for and listened to, celebrating successes, and nurturing talent.
  • Ensure an excellent guest experience by maintaining high standards in food preparation and safety.
  • Understand financial performance including gross profit, stock control, and labor costs, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Build a coaching culture within your team, working with your Head Chef on recruitment and ongoing development.
  • Be a proactive problem solver, capable of quick decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with a caring and considerate approach.
  • Proven ability to maintain high standards in food safety and hygiene.
  • Experience managing kitchen finances, including GP and stock control.
  • Ability to manage labor costs effectively.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and engage teams.
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and respectful environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.
