The Education Network is currently recruiting for a skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology (DT) Technician to join a supportive and thriving Secondary School in Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with a passion for supporting practical learning in Design Technology.

Role Responsibilities
  • Preparing, setting up, and maintaining tools, machinery, and equipment for DT lessons.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment by carrying out routine maintenance and safety checks.
  • Supporting teaching staff with practical demonstrations and lesson preparation.
  • Ordering and managing stock, resources, and materials for the department.
  • Assisting students with the safe and correct use of equipment during practical sessions.
  • Promoting health and safety standards across the workshop and classrooms.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a DT Technician or in a similar workshop/technical support role (school or industry).
  • Knowledge of safe use and maintenance of DT tools and machinery.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff and students.
  • An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
