Design & Technology Teacher (with Food Technology) – Huntingdon
Position: Full-Time (Permanent)
Location: Huntingdon
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner)
Salary: Negotiable (depending on experience)
Our client, a successful and forward-thinking academy based in Huntingdon, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher with a specialism in Food Technology to join their supportive and innovative team.
This is an exciting opportunity to teach across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a well-resourced department, where creativity, practical learning, and student engagement are at the heart of everything they do. The academy has a strong focus on delivering high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment that promotes both academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons in D&T with a focus on Food Technology
Plan and prepare lessons in line with the national curriculum
Support and guide students to achieve outstanding results
Contribute to the department’s enrichment activities and curriculum development
Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A specialism in Food Technology with the ability to teach across other D&T areas
Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential)
A passion for practical, hands-on teaching and learning
Excellent organisational and communication skills
A commitment to the values and ethos of the academy

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
