About the Role:

Are you passionate about design and innovation? Do you want to inspire the next generation of creative minds through the exciting world of Design Technology? Academics Ltd is looking for a talented Design Technology Teacher to join a secondary school in Swindon for a September start. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students, nurturing their creativity and technical skills while fostering a love for design. As a Design Technology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons to students of all abilities, helping them develop both practical skills and a deeper understanding of design concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design Technology lessons that inspire and engage students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and builds confidence.
  • Design and implement dynamic lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the Design Technology department and the wider school community.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A fully qualified Design Technology Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience in teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience is a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of Design Technology concepts, including both practical and theoretical aspects.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning atmosphere.
  • A passion for motivating and inspiring students to unlock their creative potential and develop their technical skills.
