Job Description:

A creative and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher with a focus on Resistant Materials is required to join a well-regarded independent boarding secondary school for boys aged 13-18 in Brent. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop their design thinking and practical skills in working with materials such as wood, metal, and plastics.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons focusing on Resistant Materials at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  2. Develop students' skills in design processes, material manipulation, and manufacturing techniques related to resistant materials.
  3. Assess and monitor student progress in Design & Technology, providing constructive feedback to enhance their learning.
  4. Contribute to the development of the Design & Technology curriculum, with a focus on Resistant Materials.
Requirements
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology.
  2. Demonstrated experience teaching Design & Technology lessons with a focus on Resistant Materials at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  3. Strong practical skills in working with resistant materials and knowledge of relevant tools and machinery.
  4. Excellent communication and organisational skills, capable of inspiring creativity and problem-solving in students.
