Job summary

Broadoak Academy in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a passionate Teacher of Design and Technology to join the team from January 2027. You will deliver a broad DT curriculum with specialist facilities, working within a supportive CLF Design and Technology team to inspire creativity, resilience and practical skills in students.

You will hold QTS, deliver well-structured lessons, differentiate for all learners, and contribute to enrichment beyond the classroom.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with strong subject knowledge in Design and Technology.
• Ability to deliver high-quality DT lessons that promote creativity and independence.
• Able to differentiate to meet the needs of all learners including vulnerable groups.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a broad and engaging Design and Technology curriculum.
• Plan sequences of learning building on prior knowledge.
• Use effective assessment to inform teaching and support progress.
