Vision for Education is seeking a passionate Teacher of Design Technology for a secondary school in Preston, Lancashire, to start January 2027 on a long-term temporary basis until the end of the academic year.

The ideal candidate will hold QTS or equivalent, have experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level, and be able to plan, prepare and assess lessons while upholding high standards of classroom management and safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Design Technology at secondary school level.
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, practical lessons.
• Ability to plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the curriculum.
• Effective classroom management skills and high expectations of student behaviour.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
• Flexibility and enthusiasm to contribute positively to a secondary school in Preston.
