Job Title: Qualified DT Teacher

Location: Gateshead

Start Date: September 2025

Salary: £140 - £200 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role

TeacherActive is seeking a Qualified DT Teacher to work in a school in Gateshead. This is a fantastic opportunity to support student success and deliver engaging design technology lessons. Responsibilities
  • Deliver Design Technology lessons up to Key Stage 5
  • Support and motivate students to achieve their potential
  • Promote an inclusive environment respecting diversity and individuality
Requirements
  • PGCE or QTS with Design Technology specialism (ECTs welcome)
  • Experience teaching children up to Key Stage 5 in a secondary setting
  • Good understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection
  • Strong classroom and behavioral management skills
