Job summary

Randstad Education is recruiting a Design & Technology Teacher for a full-time role starting this September in Leeds. You will teach Product Design, Resistant Materials and Textiles to KS3–KS4, delivering engaging lessons within a collaborative department.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (Update Service preferred).
• Eligibility to work full-time in the UK.
• Strong knowledge across Product Design, Resistant Materials and Textiles.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons across KS3–4.
• Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop environment in line with health & safety.
• Assess, track and report student progress to maximise outcomes.
• Lead or support practical, skills-based extracurricular activities.
• Collaborate with the department and trust to share best practices.
