Design Technology Teacher - Prestigious Secondary School in Staines

This Secondary school is part of a Trust that has helped the school develop into a flourishing and vibrant environment. The school consists of around 1,412 students and has a 'Good' Ofsted report, with praise from other teachers and support staff we have placed there.

Location: Staines, Surrey

Start Date: April/September 2025

Contract: Part-Time or Full-Time | Supply or Permanent

Salary: £37,141 to £50,471 per annum / £160 to £260 per day

A well-respected secondary school in Staines is seeking a motivated and experienced Design Technology Teacher to join their faculty from April/September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative teacher to inspire students in the ever-evolving world of Design Technology.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  2. Teach a range of DT disciplines, including Product Design, Resistant Materials, and Engineering.
  3. Guide students in GCSE and A-Level coursework and assessments.
  4. Encourage innovation, problem-solving, and hands-on learning through practical projects.
  5. Maintain a safe and well-equipped learning environment in the workshop.
Requirements:
  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  2. Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology, Product Design, or Engineering.
  3. Experience using CAD software and workshop tools is desirable.
  4. Passion for creative, technical, and practical education.

This position offers flexibility, with both part-time and full-time roles available, either on a supply or permanent basis.
