Salary: GBP150 - GBP225 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently looking to appoint a creative and dedicated DT Teacher to join a dynamic school in Bilborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled educator to foster technical abilities, problem-solving, and design thinking in young learners.

Responsibilities as a Design Technology Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages, covering areas such as resistant materials, product design, and CAD/CAM.
  • Support students in developing practical skills, creativity, and understanding of the design process.
  • Prepare pupils for coursework and assessments in line with the national curriculum.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and inspiring workshop or classroom environment.
  • Contribute to cross-curricular projects, competitions, and extra-curricular clubs.

Requirements for Design Technology Teacher:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
  • Previous experience teaching Design Technology in a school setting is preferable.
  • Strong subject knowledge with practical experience in a range of materials and technologies.
  • Good classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained.
