Are you passionate about design, innovation, and hands-on learning? This school is seeking a creative and forward-thinking Design & Technology Teacher to join a dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of designers, engineers, and problem-solvers. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Design Technology Teacher:
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Key Stages [Insert KS3/KS4/KS5 as relevant].
Teach a range of D&T disciplines including [e.g., Product Design, Resistant Materials, CAD/CAM, Textiles, etc.].
Foster creativity, critical thinking, and practical skills in a well-resourced learning environment.
Encourage students to explore design processes, solve real-world problems, and create innovative solutions.
Support the development of coursework and portfolios for GCSE and/or A-Level qualifications.
Ideal Design Technology Teacher:
Holds QTS and a relevant degree in Design & Technology or a related subject.
Has strong knowledge of health & safety and workshop practice.
Is enthusiastic about design and skilled in both traditional and digital technologies (e.g., 3D printing, CAD software).
Can inspire students with engaging, hands-on lessons.
Is committed to inclusion, progress, and high standards for all learners as a Design Technology Teacher.
Enjoys working as part of a collaborative and creative team.
