Job description

Are you an innovative and practical Design & Technology Teacher ready to inspire creativity and problem-solving in young engineers and designers? We are partnering with a highly regarded Independent school in Harrow that is seeking a fantastic temporary, part-time Design & Technology Teacher to join their department, starting ASAP. This is a brilliant opportunity to guide students through the design process, from concept to creation, across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16), and potentially Key Stage 5.

What you'll be doing:

  • You'll be planning and delivering engaging D&T lessons, covering a range of materials and processes, including resistant materials, textiles, and product design.
  • It's about fostering practical skills, encouraging inventive thinking, and ensuring a safe and productive workshop environment.
  • You'll also contribute to the school's extra-curricular activities, perhaps running a design club or supporting competitions.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology.
