Overview

Design and Technology Teacher Opportunity in South Birmingham. Are you an enthusiastic Design and Technology professional eager to make an impact on young minds? Tradewind is eager to receive your application. We are looking for a passionate Design Technology Teacher with experience in teaching practical technology lessons and confident classroom management skills. The academy is open to hearing from early career teachers and experienced QTS teachers. This is a full-time position for one term initially, with the potential for extension. The school is open to considering Design Technology specialists who can teach Food, Textiles or Resistant Materials. Both newly qualified teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
  • Teach Design Technology to KS3 and KS4, with the ability to teach Food, Textiles or Resistant Materials as required by the school.
  • Deliver practical technology lessons and maintain effective classroom management.
  • Contribute to planning and progression in Design Technology across key stages.
Qualifications
  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology across KS3 and KS4.
  • Provide a CV with full employment/education history; explain any employment breaks.
  • Present a minimum of two references, including your most recent employment reference.
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Have the legal right to work full-time in the UK.
