An ambitious and high-performing 11-18 secondary school in Telford is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join their dynamic team from September. About the Role:
- Teaching Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 (opportunities for KS5 may be available)
- Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across areas such as product design, resistant materials, CAD/CAM, and potentially engineering
- Contributing to curriculum development, department projects, and extra-curricular opportunities
- Playing a key role in supporting students to develop technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and creativity
- Working collaboratively within a strong and well-resourced department
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
- Specialism in Design & Technology with experience teaching at secondary level
- Confidence with workshop tools, safety practices, and up-to-date DT methodologies
- A reflective and innovative approach to teaching and learning
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students in line with KCSIE
- Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to obtain one)
