A school in St. Albans is seeking a passionate and adaptable Design Technology Teacher to join on a long-term supply basis starting in September 2025. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a talented educator to deliver high-quality Design Technology education in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching may be available, depending on experience).
2. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that inspire students to apply creativity and practical skills.
3. Mark, assess, and provide feedback on student work in line with school policies.
4. Track student progress, monitor attainment, and provide support and interventions where necessary.
5. Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and quality of curriculum delivery.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified teacher (QTS essential) with strong subject knowledge in Design Technology.
• Experience teaching a range of Design Technology specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Engineering.
• A creative, enthusiastic educator capable of inspiring students in both practical and theoretical aspects of Design Technology.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to establish positive rapport with students.
• A flexible, reliable, and proactive team player who can seamlessly integrate into the school community.
