Salary: £140 - £300 per day

Are you a skilled and creative Design & Technology Teacher looking for an exciting new role this September 2025? We are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to join our thriving secondary schools in Southend on sea, delivering high-quality D&T education to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

The Role:

As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons in a range of D&T disciplines, including product design, resistant materials, and CAD/CAM.

Inspire students to think creatively, solve problems, and develop hands-on technical skills.

Prepare students for GCSE exams, ensuring strong theoretical and practical understanding.

Encourage innovation and critical thinking through practical projects and design challenges.

Maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-organised workshop/classroom environment.

Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and cross-curricular links.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level.

Strong subject knowledge across multiple D&T specialisms.

Excellent classroom management and the ability to engage and motivate students.

A proactive attitude towards health and safety in practical teaching spaces.
