Are you a creative and committed educator with a passion for innovation, problem-solving and hands-on learning?

We are seeking an enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join a dynamic and well-resourced DT department at a prestigious school. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (KS5 desirable), inspiring students through engaging lessons in areas such as product design, resistant materials, graphics, or food technology. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Design Technology Teacher:

1. Deliver high-quality DT lessons that promote creativity, technical skills, and critical thinking.
2. Plan and assess learning in line with the national curriculum and exam specifications.
3. Encourage pupils to design, prototype and evaluate their ideas using a range of materials and tools.
4. Ensure safe and effective use of workshop equipment and follow health and safety protocols.
5. Support the development of practical and theoretical knowledge across all ability levels.
6. Contribute to curriculum planning, extra-curricular clubs, competitions and school displays.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Holds QTS and a relevant degree in Design Technology or a related subject.
2. Has strong subject knowledge in one or more specialisms within DT.
3. Is confident delivering both practical and theoretical aspects of the subject.
4. Has high expectations and a commitment to inclusive education.
5. Is enthusiastic, organised and a team player as a Design Technology Teacher.
6. Is keen to contribute to the wider life of the school and inspire the next generation of designers and makers.
