Job summary

Highfield Leadership Academy is seeking a Teacher of Design Technology to plan, design and deliver high-quality DT lessons that challenge pupils and support progression to GCSE standard. You will create engaging teaching materials, assess and report on progress, manage classroom resources and contribute to a positive, safe learning environment.

You will also attend meetings and undertake administrative tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
• Ability to teach GCSE standard.
• Proven track record of delivering outstanding attainment.
• Innovative and creative approach to engage and progress learners.

Plan, design and produce teaching materials and resources which are appropriate to age and ability.

Plan, deliver and review lessons which are appropriate to the age and ability of the pupils so as to facilitate progression in pupils’ learning.

Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of the pupils assigned.

Manage the classroom and teaching equipment so to create a positive learning environment which makes effective use of available resources.

Attend meetings, carry out administrative tasks and duties as required.

You will have:
