Job description

We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive department. This is a great opportunity to inspire students to develop practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving through a broad range of design and technology disciplines. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Design Technology Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across Design Technology including product design, resistant materials, textiles, and graphics

• Foster creativity and technical skills through practical and theory-based learning

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback

• Support students in preparing for GCSE and other relevant qualifications

• Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and extracurricular projects

Ideal Design Technology Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• A degree in Design Technology, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field

• Strong subject knowledge and practical experience in design and technology areas

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a Design Technology Teacher.

• A passion for encouraging innovation and creativity in students
