The Role:

  • Guide students through the design process—from research and ideation to production and evaluation

  • Support pupils in completing coursework for GCSE Design & Technology

  • Promote problem-solving, resilience, and sustainability in design thinking

  • Contribute to departmental planning, trips, and school-wide STEM initiatives

Who We're Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a background in Design and Technology

  • Confident in managing a workshop and delivering lessons in line with health and safety standards

  • Skilled in delivering both creative and technical elements of the curriculum

  • Able to connect with students of varying abilities and nurture their potential

  • Up to date with current curriculum trends and industry developments

  • Enthusiastic about helping students see the real-world applications of their learning

What’s in it for You?

  • Competitive weekly pay through PAYE – no umbrella fees

  • Ongoing CPD and access to subject-specific training

  • A responsive consultant who knows the Newham education landscape
