The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Deliver engaging and high-quality Design Technology lessons across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5.
• Teach a broad curriculum covering Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics, and CAD/CAM technologies.
• Inspire students to develop technical and creative skills while solving real-world design challenges.
• Guide students through GCSE and A-Level coursework, ensuring high standards of academic achievement.
• Promote hands-on learning using specialist equipment, workshop tools, and digital design software.
• Organise and promote extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs, design competitions, and industry visits to enrich students’ learning experiences.
  
  

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

• Be a qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS) with a strong background in Design Technology.
• Have experience teaching Design Technology to A-Level, with a proven track record of student success.
• Be passionate about fostering innovation, problem-solving, and practical design skills in students.
• Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and workshop safety awareness.
