Design Technology Teacher

Location: Teesside

Salary: Paid to Scale

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design & Technology (DT) Teacher to join our network of dedicated supply staff. We work with a range of secondary schools and academies who require qualified DT teachers for short-term, long-term, and permanent placements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons following the national curriculum.
• Ensure the safe and effective use of machinery and equipment in the workshop.
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Assess, record, and report on students' progress.
• Work collaboratively with other staff to support student achievement.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at KS3 and KS4.
• Up-to-date Health & Safety certification for the use of machinery in schools (essential).
• A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
