Location: Poole, Dorset
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: MPS1 (ECT Scale)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative Design & Technology ECT to join a well-established and forward-thinking secondary school in Poole. The school is committed to fostering creativity, problem-solving, and practical skills through a broad and engaging D&T curriculum.

Design & Technology ECT required from September 2025

The Role
You will teach D&T across KS3 and KS4, delivering lessons that cover a range of material areas including resistant materials, textiles, and electronics. The role includes supporting project-based learning and encouraging innovation and sustainability in design.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Design & Technology or related field, plus QTS/PGCE by July 2025

  • Passion for creative teaching and hands-on learning

  • Strong organisational skills and safety awareness in workshops

  • Enthusiastic team player with good communication skills
