Job description

Design Technology & Art Technician
Full Time or Part Time hours - 39 weeks (term time only)
To cover school hours (08:30-15:30) with morning or afternoon prep
Salary: FTE £25,186 - £26,246 (Actual £19,229 - £20,039 for full time)

Key Features of the job
The role mainly involves supporting the busy technology and art faculty in managing stock and other materials, supporting lessons, preparing equipment, and ensuring learning and teaching is maximised.
Experience in working in a school environment is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided.

Some of the typical work activities are as follows:
• Supporting teachers with resource management and preparation for lessons
• Creating resources and materials to support learning and teaching
• Managing resources by way of ordering and distributing deliveries
• Preparing art packs and resources for students

• Experienced in making things, and creative
• Organised and a problem solver
• Equally happy to work as part of a team, or on your own
• Equally as comfortable working with workshop machinery, fabrics, food, or arts and crafts
• Health & Safety aware and conscious
