Design Technician
Are you looking for a Design Technician role? Interested in working for a leading fit-out contractor?

VANRATH are recruiting a Design Technician to work on high end fit out projects, based in Antrim, Northern Ireland.

Remuneration:
£Competitive Salary DOE + excellent package

Client:
Our client is a leading interior fit-out contractor based in Antrim, Northern Ireland. They carry out a range of fit-out projects across various sectors including luxury residential, commercial, hotels and specialist joinery projects.

The business is thriving and are winning new projects regularly. As a result, they have a great opportunity for a Design Technician to join the team on a permanent basis.

Main Responsibilities:

• Production of detailed construction drawings of bespoke unitary, furniture, architectural components and fittings
• Ensure drawings are produced in a timely manner and alterations also dealt with promptly
• Liaison with sub-contractors, production and operations teams
• Input at site surveys will occasionally be required.

The Ideal Person:

• Degree qualified or other relevant qualifications
• Experience working on fit out projects involving detailed joinery
• Strong on AutoCAD
• Good knowledge of current building regulations
• Experience with BIM projects would be ideal but not essential
• Be proactive and dedicated to completing projects on time
• Experience in technical detailing
• Ability to use a 3D drawing package such as SolidWorks, Revit or Inventor would be ideal
• Able to commute to Antrim on a daily basis
