This is an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Design Technician Apprentice to work alongside our skilled and knowledgeable design team in our Warrington office. You will work towards successfully achieving the level 3 design technician apprenticeship standard whilst getting hands-on engineering experience and studying for a BTEC diploma in engineering.
Each of our apprentices will specialise in a pathway relevant to one of the following engineering disciplines:
You will contribute to the preparation of engineering solutions and produce designs, drawings or models for structures, piping, electrical systems, control and instrumentation systems or mechanical components relevant to your chosen pathway.
You will be able to identify factors likely to affect design decisions, produce Computer Aided Design (CAD) models and engineering drawings and specifications and will be able to communicate design information to others.
In your daily work, you will interact with a range of internal and external stakeholders and will be based within a project design team and may also get the opportunity to carry out occasional work at on-site locations where you will be required to understand on-site hazards and health, safety and environmental requirements.
