Job summary

Class Act Teaching Services is recruiting on behalf of a specialist educational setting in Oxfordshire for a dedicated Design Technology Teacher to start immediately on a temp-to-perm basis. The role suits those with experience in Design Technology, Construction, Vocational Education, Engineering, or Practical Skills Delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Design Technology, Construction, Engineering, Vocational Skills or Practical subjects.
• QTS is not essential.
• Experience with SEND, ASC or SEMH is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Design Technology, Construction, and Vocational Skills lessons.
• Develop practical learning opportunities to build confidence and independence.
• Adapt learning to meet the needs of students with ASC and SEMH.
• Promote health and safety within workshop and practical learning environments.
• Support students in developing transferable life and employability skills.
• Monitor student progress and celebrate achievement.
• Work closely with teaching assistants, therapeutic teams, and school leaders.
• Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
